I have been thinking today about the argument that occurred this morning on "The View" between Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselback. That then brought to mind a recent debate between Kirk Cameron and some atheists. I realize that while you are in school or work you will run into people who disagree with you and sometimes those people will be very angry and hurtful toward you. I think that it is OK to defend yourself and your beliefs, but remember that you will almost never win the argument. No one ever really wins and rarely even turns anyone to their point of view. If you are respectful, however, and try not to succumb to the anger you probably feel, you may have a positive effect on someone who is listening.
The most important thing is and will always be the relationships you form with people. They will always be more willing to listen to you if they know you care about them and have invested your time in them.

I did not see the show today, but I agree with what you said. It's very easy to get upset when your faith is challenged, but we always have to keep in mind that our God is big enough to show himself mighty without our input. Praise God!
This advice is crucial to Christians of every age.
Sometimes, when we argue to "win", we lose.
Thanks Dawn!!!
I don't understand why when Rosie O'Donnell gives her opinion, everyone has to listen. When someone else gives their opinion, she doesn't want to listen. Isn't everyone intitled to their OWN opinion, why does she think we all have to agree with her? ~momma
